About Upcoming Benelli 302R - The Chinese company has officially launched the Benelli 302R, a month after photos of the supersport's entry level model emerged online. The bike has been completely redesigned and will be available in India before the end of the year. The fresh design is the model's highlight. The vertically stacked projector headlight, flanked by LED DRLs on each side and a new LED tail light, replaces the halogen ones from the previous generation. Air vents have been added to the bodywork to assist channel the air more efficiently. Benelli has kept the 14-litre fuel tank and side panels, though.

The 300cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine produces 35.35PS at 11,000rpm and 27Nm at 9,000rpm, the same as the previous generation. The latest variant has 3.5PS less power and 0.5Nm greater torque. However, the company has made up for the loss of power by removing 18kg off the motorcycle. The 41mm USD fork handles suspension duties, but it now has preload adjustment. The rear monoshock remains the same. A minor modification is also made to the braking system. The bike now comes with conventional rotors in place of the twin petal discs up front. The Benelli 302R is expected to be released later this year and would cost Rs 3.60 lakh. The bike will compete against the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC 390, among others.

In India, Benelli has released the new 302S, which will replace the TNT 300. A new headlamp and fresh colours have been added to the all-new bike. LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED turn indicators, and a digital instrument panel are among the new features. The new 300cc parallel twin BS6-compliant liquid-cooled motor produces 38PS and 25.6Nm.
