Bajaj V15 (INS Vikrant)

Bajaj Two Wheelers has finally launched a most anticipated motorcycle made from the Invincible metal of INS Vikrant in India and named it ‘V15’. As per report, the fuel tank of the bike would be made from the recycled metal after the dismantling of the retired warship INS Vikrant.

The design of the motorcycle is a one of its kind offering in this new segment, termed as a premium commuter by the maker. The company also hints that there is a limited production of 20,000 units a month and price to be around INR 60,000-70,000. The Bajaj V15 would be special for those who were attached to the stories of the warship INR Vikrant.

Bajaj V15 is powered by a simple 149.5 cc, 1-cylinder air-cooled unit with twin spark technology. The engine is capable to produces maximum power of 11.83 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 13 NM @ 5500 rpm. It is mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. The Bajaj V15 measures 2044 mm in length, 780 mm in width and 1070 mm in height. The seat height of the motorcycle is very comfortably placed at 780 mm and gets a wheelbase of 1315 mm. The Bajaj V15 bike weighs 135.5 kg which is very light and easy to handle. It comes with a 13-liter fuel tank and a usable reserve of 1.7 liters.

Bajaj V15 equipped with 240 mm of the front disc brake and 130 mm drum brake for the rear wheel. The front wheel is 90/90-18 whereas the rear wheel is a cruiser style 120/80-16 unit. The new Bajaj V15 bike uses a star-shaped 10 spoke alloy wheels and comes with 33 mm front telescopic forks. The rear suspension is gas filled, twin-spring loaded hydraulic type.

Bajaj V15 will be available in two different color shades, Pearl White, and Ebony Black. It is expected to be priced around INR 65,000 and comes with a feel of the patriotic essence, which can be felt from its very own metal.
